The Barry Lockwood and Emma-Jane Vincent trained Miss Personality completed a hat trick of wins in a Class 6 Plate over 1000m. The lightly raced, progressive Lonhro mare is now a five-time winner from only eight starts. (January 3).

The Pat Webster trained Esjay scored his third win from his last four starts when scoring a fluent victory in a BM 90 Handicap over 1400m. Esjay has been ultra consistent over a very bust last two months having posted the three wins, two runner-up finishes and a third place in his six starts over that period of time. Angela Jones brought up a double for the day here, having saluted earlier on Miss Personality. (January 3).

The Adam Campton trained Bengal Tiger ($21), ridden by Ben Thompson, was the longest priced winner at the Eagle Farm meeting, keeping the $2.40 favourite Silver Wedding at bay by a neat length in a Class 3 Handicap over 1400m, a result which saw the mare claim the fourth win of her career. (January 3).

The Tony Gollan trained Hell regained winning form in his third start since relocating to the Gollan yard, taking out a BM78 Handicap over 1200m. It was a welcome return to form for the obviously talented Hell who last saluted in March 2025. This win improved his record to eight wins from twenty starts. (January 3).

The Mark Walker and Sam Bergerson-trained filly La Dorada bounced back to form when claiming the Group 2 Levin Classic. Last seasons Champion New Zealand Two-Year-Old had been disappointing in her previous three starts as a three-year-old. A winner of the Karaka Millions 2YO last year … La Dorada now looks on track for this year’s three-year-old version of the Karaka Million. (January 3).

The Lance O’Sullivan and Andrew Scott-trained Ohope Wins (NZ) (Ocean Park) shed her maiden ticket in style status when taking out the Group 2 Sir Patrick Hogan Stakes over 2000m at Ellerslie. Joe Dyle was the winning rider. Ohope has been nominated for the New Zealand Oaks which will be run over 2400m at Ellerslie this year on 21 February. (January 1)
