Forever Young, the 2025 Breeders’ Cup winner, headlines the nominations for the $US12 million Dubai World Cup to be run at Meydan in Dubai on March 28, along with the winners of the last two editions of the Dubai meeting’s showpiece race … Laurel River (2024) and Hit Show (2025).
Forever Young is a Japanese superstar while both Laurel River and Hit Show represent the United States.
The World’s Best Horse for 2025 Calandagan is also a nomination, but he is heading for the Dubai Sheema Classic.
And, while it has no nominations in the main event, Australia has runners nominated in ‘undercard’ races that are worthy of big, feature races in their own right.
In the Al Quoz Sprint, Chris Waller has Angel Capitol, Beiwacht and Joliestar nominated and the Corstens camp matches Waller’s three runner entry here, targeting the Al Quoz with Baraqiet, Marble Nine and Zou Sensation.
Waller also has Rover Of Stars and Valiant King nominated for the Dubai Gold Cup.
Anthony and Sam Freedman have split their two entries with Tentyris going to the Al Quoz and with Tom Kitten being nominated for the Godolphin Mile and Dubai Turf.
Australia is one of seventeen different countries represented by all nominations across the board for the Dubai World cup meeting.
