ZAC LLOYD A WINNER IN BRITAIN

By Graham Potter | Sunday, June 7, 2026

Zac Lloyd has wasted no time in putting his name on the list of winners in Britain, guiding the Michael Bell trained Any Which Way to victory in a Class 2 Handicap for three-year-olds at Doncaster on Saturday.

The 9-4 second favourite benefitted from a confident ride by Lloyd, whose professionalism … from his preparation in terms of learning about his mount … through the superb execution of the ride … to his informed post-race interview could only have impressed his new audience.

Lloyd then completed a Doncaster race day riding double when partnering the Daniel and Claire Kubler trained Arctic Dawn to a 3.25 length victory in a Class 3 Handicap over 1400m.

Like any rider who has high demands on himself and who is there in search of success, Lloyd admitted that he was already becoming a touch frustrated after finishing second on his first ride in Britain on the Charlie Appleby trained Ruler Of Time and then again on the Michael Bell trained Bayside View … before he struck with Any Which Way to give him a landmark victory.

These early results have already provided Lloyd with more than a little attention and some real early momentum as he sets out to target further success at Royal Ascot later this month.
