RACE 1:

ALDINI (6) looks a little better than these. Only raced 17 times (4 wins) and has an excellent finish. STARSTREAMED (9) has had a lot of city opportunities but his latest D'bn 3rd indicates he might be ready to win one. BRIGADOON JACK (1) box-seats and is more than capable in this grade. Rough chances 3, 7 and 10.

RACE 2:

Good quality race. Happy to be with TERONADO (2) first-up. Liked his 1st campaign and tradesman like trial at D'bn recently. Browne booking a plus. LITTLE BIT DITSY (9) was sound latest D'bn 2nd track and trip and gets good run from gate with Cahill. EXCEEDINGLY (8) looks smart on 2 trial performances. Rough chances 1, 3 and 6.

RACE 3:

CARMINE KING (1) was authoritative in EF 1200m win 3 weeks ago and carries same weight. Goes to 1350m but don't see that as a problem. MR ORIENT (8) rarely wins but is going well and maybe more the place than the win. SOLEBID (3) is down in class and pushes forward and has a chance. Rough chances 2, 9, 10 and 14.

RACE 4:

MUKADDAMAH SON (3) is a good gamble on both totes. Consistent and runs well fresh and Browne rides him well. BID SPOTTER (1) gets a good trip with Munce and seems way over odds on fixed markets. PEPPERWOOD (2) ran well track and trip 2nd 2 weeks ago but prefers it wetter. Rough chances 4, 6, 7 and 8.

RACE 5:

QFIGHTER (13) will appreciate this race, likes a hot speed over the short trip and finishes quick. BUCKMOORE (5) is a Hunter Valley veteran but is over the odds considering latest D'bn 2nd to Cape Kidnappers. LENNIES CHOICE (7) leads them up but becoming costly. Rough chances 1, 4, 9 and 10.

RACE 6:

Typical suspects. CLANGOR (3) ran well these conditions 2 weeks ago and at $8 fixed, looks a good gamble on both totes. FLYING HOME (1) will be favourite and ridden with cover today and is worth another chance while MOMENT TO REMEMBER (7) is staying well in easier races (won past 2). Rough chances 4, 5 and 6.

RACE 7:
Good betting race. CASSE SQUARETTE (5) ran well in South Grafton Cup and gets a good run here with Cahill riding. Hard to beat. GUNNER KNOX (2) had little luck latest D'bn 6th and is another who will enjoy a good run. MR TESTA (3) goes forward and is in-form. Rough chances 1, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13 and 16.

RACE 8:

Luck deserted DISCREET (2) this track and trip 3rd 2 weeks ago but with a better alley now can make amends. Produces big finish. AVALADYLUCK (10) is an above-average filly who also is a good line-finder while REGULAR (3) went super track and trip 2nd 2 weeks ago and has a chance again. Rough chances 4, 8, 9, 12 and 16.

BEST BET: DISCREET (Race 8).

BEST EACHWAY: QFIGHTER (Race 5).

BEST ROUGHIE: SUBSTATION (Race 8).

QUADRELLA: 1, 2, 5, 7, 13 / 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 / 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 / 2, 3, 10, 12.
