RACE 1:

EXPLORE THE WORLD (6) has never raced better and gets all the favours from the good gate with Cahill riding. MISS STASH (4) is 1st-up but talented and has won at this track and trip. LENNIES CHOICE (2) is a vulnerable favourite. Leads but how well, or not, is he going? Rough chances 1, 8 and 9.

RACE 2:

ONGOING VENTURE (2) is developing into a handy stayer and overlook the Grafton Cup run when they went too slowly. Previous EF 3rd was sound. LEONARDO EXPRESS (4) is working up to a win. Finished nicely latest EF 6th. DODGING EDDIE (1) struck significant interference in the Qld Cup a fortnight ago and can be a top 3 player here. Rough chances 5, 6 and 7.

RACE 3:

YEAGER (3) has been terrific in 2 runs so far and blinkers on today are a significant gear addition. JUMBO PRINCE (1) has the form on the board and is a legitimate winning chance again while ELJETEM (2) gets a mile back but runs home well. Distance is suitable. Rough chances 5 and 10.

RACE 4:

FOREFRONT (3) came from NZ with a good record and ran well 1st-up S/Coast 5th @ 1000m. D.Browne, one alley, and blinkers back on are good enough for me. BIG DECISION (4) runs best early in his prep and was good 1st-up. Value. CHALUPA (7) commands respect on last start track and trip win. Rough chances 1, 2 and 5.

RACE 5:

WINGARA (11) is “flying” and is poised to make it 4 straight. Good gate and T.Bell consolidate the case. Save on FRETON (1) who keeps running well. FANTISHA (5) is an above-average mare who will run home well. Rough chances 3, 4, 8, 10 and 13.

RACE 6:

SKATING AWAY (10) is a talented mare and it’s significant she’s nifty 2nd-up. Trialled well Deagon Tuesday and good alley and Cahill booking are pluses. DOUGHTY (8) will go better 2nd-up off the rails while NOT TO SURE (12) arrives with handy Victorian form. Watch. Rough chances 1, 2 and 11.

RACE 7:

SALUTER (7) should get a perfect trip in this and with a 6.5kg weight pull over ROCKY KING (2) can get him down at the end of 1300m. STARTSMEUP (3) is a chance but doesn’t win out of turn these days. Rough chances 4 and 9.

RACE 8:

Open race. FAST ARROW (4) is a promising horse who was tuned up for this with an excellent S/Coast 2nd last Sunday after good S/Coast Guineas run. COMACINA (9) is lightly-raced but promising. ABU BEN ADAM (8) rolls forward off the rails and will be competitive. Rough chances 1, 2 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 12 and 13.

BEST BET: WINGARA (Race 5).

BEST EACHWAY: SALUTER (Race 7).

BEST ROUGHIE: BIG DECISION (Race 4).

QUADRELLA: 1, 11 / 2, 8, 10, 12 / 2, 3, 7 / 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 13.
