BUFFERING - THE DUBAI DIARY - PART 6

By Robert Heathcote | Monday, March 28, 2016

It was always going to be the trip of a lifetime but the team's success in the Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan took the whole experience to a new, surreal level. Here, Robert Heathcote provides the sixth blog in the series ‘Buffering - the Dubai Diary’ along with a must-see, behind the scenes video of what was a great occasion, not only for those directly involved in the horse but for Australian racing as a whole.

Hello again folks,

Wow, what an amazing thrill that was to win the Dubai World Cup Sprint Turf Race.

Way back in the 1980s I met a young Canadian couple, Ahne and Phil Ridley on one of my many European Tours when I was a tour manager.

They became close lifelong friends and for the past 16 years they have lived and worked as teachers at the prestigious American School of Dubai.

I had the pleasure of having Phil and their daughter Julia join us for the amazing Dubai experience that was the Dubai World Cup . The following link will , in some way enable you to share in what was an amazing night .

Buffering sure is a wee champion and certainly climbed his Everest once again on Saturday night.

What a journey he has taken us on.

Click on the following link. In some small way it may help you understand what a wonderful night it was.
