WINNO'S WINNERS: RANDWICK, MAY 28

By Darren Winningham | Friday, May 27, 2016

As this form assessment was made prior to raceday, please check final fields and track conditions for any changes on the day.

The rail is out 3m this week. Should not affect too many of the runners

Race 1

Flow (2) looks the goods with some solid runs. Acatour (4) from the Snowden yard won well on debut and his horses seem to improve second up.

Selections: 2-4-3-1

Race 2

Beau Tirage (3) and Star Shaft (2) look the two best chances. Not a good quality race.

Selections: 2-3-8-1

Race 3

Roeinda (2) is a dual acceptor – nominated for Brisbane as well. Pioneering (1) has a large weight but racing consistently. Could be hard to beat here. Dee Nine Elle (5) has been sent south from Tony Gollan in Brisbane looking for some prizemoney for the owners. It could get out and lead easy and prove difficult to run down here.

Selections: 1-2-5-6

Race 4

Chris “Delltori” Dell has made the trip south to Sydney to ride for kiwi trainer Scott Lucock and Sally Gillespie on Sonorous (1). Rodrico (3) and New Tipperary (2) are in good form. Divine Sanction (6) ran a good second over this course and distance last start as has three kilograms off for apprentice Andrew Adkins. Pursuit of Honour (11) has run well too at Randwick and probably will improve.

Selections: 3-6-11-2 rough chances 1 and 10

Race 5

I am Zelady is coming back from a spell and runs well fresh – has been trialling well and did win a good race in January at the Magic Millions day at the Gold Coast. Princefamous (9) was unlucky first up on a wet track and should improve second up. Oxford Poet (7) has been trialling well and could be a knock out chance if you are looking for a roughie here. Inz ‘n’ Out (3) ran a great race in the Ortensia at Scone the other week – always races well here at Randwick.

Selections: 6-9-3-1 rough chance 7

Race 6

Trois Choix (5) has blinkers back on and has won two from two at the track, has been freshened by a recent trial and looks the one to beat. Sangiovese (7) has drawn badly and had a checked run at Scone last start.

Selections: 5-7-8-2

Race 7 – McKell Cup (Listed Race)

Raw Impulse (8) from the Darren Weir stable looks the one to beat and probably will head to Brisbane if it wins this race convincingly. Havana Cooler (3) looks the logical danger here. Iggi Pop (7) has been racing consistently and may fill a place.

Selections: 8-3-7-1

Race 8

A real bad race. May have to go wide here in your exotics. Dance of Heroes (1) and Spy Coder (2) have been racing in good form. Duca Valentinois (9) has started favourite it’s last two starts and has been disappointing. Could be a race where a big priced winner could show up here.

Selections 1-2-9-13

Race 9

Looks like a Waller win in the last race. Disgraceful (2) ran a nice race first up – the horse has a poor record second up but always runs well at Randwick. Roguish (17) has been in good form and has no weight on its back. Bullrush (5) is undefeated in four career starts and could continue on winning here.

Selections 2-17-5-15 rough chances 1 and 4.

Quaddie (races 6 to 9) 5, 7/ 3, 7, 8 / 1, 2 / 2, 5, 15, 17 - cost $48 for $1.

Value Quaddie (races 6 to 9) 5 / 8 / 1, 2 / 2, 5, 17 - cost $6 for $1.

Mad Quaddie 5 / 8 / 1 / 2, 5, 17 - cost $3 for $1.

Early Quaddie (race 2 to 5) 2, 3 / 1, 2 / 3, 6, 11 / 3, 6, 9 - cost $36 for $1

NSW BIG 6 (races 4 to 9) 3, 6, 11 / 3, 6, 9 / 5, 7 / 8 / 1, 2 / 2, 5, 15, 17 - cost $144 for $1

Treble (races 7 to 9) 3, 7, 8 / 1, 2 / 2, 5, 15, 17 - cost $24 for $1

Jockeys Challenge

Tough week this week – Brenton Avdulla has some nice rides and Sam Clipperton. Maybe we can have something on both of them if their horses don’t get scratched.
