ANOTHER PROMISING TOOWOOMBA GALLOP SOLD TO A SOUTHERN STATE SYNDICATE

By Graham Potter | Monday, August 9, 2021

Another promising Toowoomba based runner will be heading south after a purchase offer too good too refuse was accepted by Dr Kim McCasker, the owner of the very well performed, newly turned three-year-old filly Hinged.

Hinged, who established a proud record of five wins from only seven starts, all as a two-year-old, under the astute care of trainer Michael Nolan … his two defeats only came by the bob of a head … was to go to the paddock for a spell before being set to target traces over Queensland’s Summer Carnival, but the career of the daughter of Worthy Cause will now take a different direction.

The purchasing syndicate of Hinged is believed to include high profile owner Brae Sokolski who was also involved recently in the purchase of another rising star to come out of Toowoomba.

That horse was the Steve Tregea trained Incentivise, who rocketed to prominence with a stunning string of wide margin victories. Incentivise has since been relocated to the Peter Moody stables and currently stands at the top of the betting boards for both the Caulfield Cup the Melbourne Cup.

Hinged will go to trainer Chris Waller where he is likely to tackle a big race program which has still to be mapped out.
