FASIKA IS NOW BEING OFFERED FOR SALE

The well-performed Fasika will be offered for sale in the Inglis Digital August (Late) Online Auction, which will be held from August 20-25.

A five-time winner up to Group 2 level, Fasika unfortunately bled during the running of last Saturday’s Group 2 Missile Stakes, a race in which she started favourite and gamely battled on to finish third, less than a length behind Phobetor.

The daughter of So You Think won her first three starts (winning a Maiden, a BM70 and the Listed South Pacific Classic).

After a five-month layoff she returned to run second in the Group 2 Sheraco Stakes and then followed that up with another runner-up finish in the Silver Eagle and an unplaced run behind Kolding in the Golden Eagle.

In her next four race campaign, after another spell, Fasika won the Group 3 Wenona Girl Quality, finished second in the Group 2 Sapphire and third in the Group 1 All Aged on April 18, 2020.

Her other results of note have come in her last three starts which include her fine Group 2 win in the Sapphire Stakes, a fourth placing in the Group 2 Victory Stakes and then that third place in the Group 2 Missile Stakes.

She goes into the sale as a six-year-old who has had only fifteen starts for five wins, three seconds and two third places, having amassed $762 020 in prize-money in the process.
