WINNO'S WINNERS: EAGLE FARM, SEPTEMBER 28, 2024

By Darren Winningham | Friday, September 27, 2024

The main meeting on Saturday is at Toowoomba, but we are also racing at Eagle Farm where the track is rated ‘Good’ and the rail is out 2 metres for the entire circuit.

NB: As these selections were made prior to race-day, please check for any changes to track conditions and for any scratchings on the day.

Race 1

A maiden class race starts the day over 1400 metres.

Selections:

3 – Listentozou
4 – Papal Wars
6 – Cheerful Cat
9 – Harriet

Race 2

A maiden race over 1200 metres.

Blind Desire (7), from the Laming Racing stables, looks well placed here – Martin Harley will ride. She raced on the speed last time out at Doomben over 1110 metres and got nailed on the line. She is drawn well in barrier 6 – wins for mine.

I must mention the first starter filly from the Chris Anderson yards – Chilpur (10). You see I must give it a mention as my good friends and Broncos and QLD supporters the GOVES family have a share in her. Like the Broncos I think she may finish down the track and be better next time. Seriously – I hope she runs well for all of the connections – plus I will get James Goves to finally dress up in NSW gear – after losing this year and for the next 5 years!

Selections:

7 – Blind Desire
11 – Fashion Flash
1 – Chief In Charge
3 – Zelezny
Rough chances – (6) Prominent Lad & (3) Use Your Illusion

Another maiden race over 1000 metres.

Selections:

13 – Towers Hill
4 – Throwin Shade
9 – Hella Fast
5 – Cosmic Beauty
Rough chances – (7) Steller Eagle & (6) Dibba Dobba

Race 4

A Class 1 over 1000 metres. NB: First leg of the Quaddie with seven races on the card.

Selections:

6 – Adoradec
1 – Capital Chase
7 – De Forza
4 – New Hampshire

Race 5

First leg of the Treble. A BM62 race over 1600 metres.

Selections:

8 – Aerial Bay
4 – Hallside Martini
2 – Capital Boss
7 – Sanbano
Rough chance – (1) Devocean
