WINNO'S WINNERS: DOOMBEN, OCTOBER 5, 2024
By Darren Winningham | Thursday, October 3, 2024
DOOMBEN this week. The track is rated ‘Soft’. The rail is out 4 metres for the entire circuit.
Some great racing in the southern states this weekend at Randwick and Flemington. The focus will be on the amazing fields and horses going around down there.
NRL Grand Final weekend as well – Penrith V Storm. The best two teams all season. I think the Storm will win – maybe even in golden point – if not a close battle winning by 4.
Race 1
The first two-year-old race of the season. These are always tough – keep your eyes on the markets.
Can the MISHANI juggernaut continue under new trainer Donna Stanbridge? Mishani Extreme (5) has been trialling well and has drawn well. Georgina Cartwright will ride him on debut.
Sequel (11), trained by Peter Sinclair, won a trial – she looked solid in winning it as well. Barrier 4 she should be handy in the running – Kyle Wilson Taylor will ride her.
Lova Flutta (4) is trained by Stuart Kendrick. Jimmy Orman will ride. A solid win in a trial on his home track on the Sunshine Coast. Barrier 9 – just hope Orman does not get caught wide from the barrier in the running.
Rapid Ready (6), trained by Ashley Glencross, has won a recent trial as well – keep safe with Malea Castle aboard.

WINNO V FLEMO
The battle continues this week between WINNO and FLEMO. Last weekend Anthony Collins won on his home turf in Toowoomba. I will post some late mail this weekend – see if we can find some winners. Be sure to check the up to date and amended tips each Saturday morning on Facebook after any track changes and scratchings!
