GOLD COAST CONFIRMED AS THE VENUE FOR THE MAGIC MILLIONS RACEDAY

After enduring a horror week, the Gold Coast Turf Club’s hosting of the 2025 edition of the Magic Millions carnival is hopefully heading for a happy ending.

When a section of the track … measuring a very neat 25m by 8m around the 500m mark … having to be replaced and made ready for racing in record time, the green light has now been officially been given for the meeting to go ahead as scheduled, unlike the previous Saturday where that meeting was transferred to the Sunshine Coast at the eleventh hour.

The proof, as they say, will be in the pudding when well over one hundred horses test the track at race speed on Saturday, but, at this stage, hats off to all involved in pulling what many thought might be a lost cause back into line.

It really was a bit of a miracle fix!
