BOB PETERS CHASING PERTH CUP WIN NUMBER ELEVEN

Three chances to win Perth Cup number eleven!
That’s the pre-race playbook for owners Peters Investments (Bob and Sandra Peters) whose famous silks … cerise with white crossed sashes … will be carried into action in the 2026 Perth Cup on New Year’s Day by the Michael Grantham trained trio of Diamond Scene, Forever Boy and Stormageddon.
Five of those Peters Investments ten Perth Cup wins have come in the last ten years … but their honour roll dates back a full thirty-three years to when Peters first won the Perth Cup with Field Officer in 1993.
Further Cup success followed with Crown Prosecutor (2005), Lords Ransom (2010), Western Jewel (December 2011), Real Love (2015), Delicacy (January 2016), Star Exhibit (December 2016), Star Exhibit (2019), Mississippi Delta (2020) and Midnight Blue (2022).
The Peters owned, Grantham trained runners for the 2026 Perth Cup are:
Diamond Scene … a six-year-old son of So You Think with nine wins to his name from twenty-one starts. He finished second in the last Perth Cup. If he finishes first or second on Thursday, he will take his stake earnings past the $1 million mark. Regular pilot Clint Johnston-Porter is the rider.
Forever Boy … a five-year-old son of Charm Spirit who has saluted five times in only fourteen starts. Won over 1800m three runs back and then finished less than a length back in two successive races over 2200m … finishing second in the A G Towton and third in the ATA Stakes (both Listed races). With Clint Johnston-Porter staying with Diamond Scene, Chris Parnham steps up to take the ride.
Stormageddon … a five-year-old gelding with five wins and nine minor placings from twenty-six starts. Another son of So You Think, Stormageddon has just enough form to tease the prospect of a good result, having finished on the fringe of the placings in all of the AJ Scahill, the GA Towton and the ATA Stakes (all Listed races) in his last three runs when never being further back than 1.65 lengths behind the winner. Holly Watson, who partnered Stormageddon in all of those starts, keeps the ride.
