PLAINTIFF LOOKING TO EXTEND HER UNBEATEN RUN

The three-year-old Zoustar filly Plaintiff will be looking to extend her unbeaten run to five straight wins when she tackles the Group 3 James H B Carr Stakes at Randwick on Saturday.
The Peter Snowden trained runner completed a neat hat trick of wins in a perfect three-race first preparation … and then just carried on from where she had left off when resuming after a little over a three month break from race action to confidently claimed her fourth win in the Group 3 P J Bell over 1200m in her first experience on a soft racing surface.
Plaintiff jumped from barrier number seventeen in the P J Bell, a factor which could have caught out a horse of lesser quality and commitment, but Plaintiff showed both of those qualities in droves to score a barnstorming win under Jordan Childs.
“When I saw the draw, I thought she would have to show something special here,” Snowden told Sky Racing, referring to Plaitiff’s last win.
“She got back a long way … circled the field … and the sectionals she ran that day were exceptional.
“She certainly franked what we had been thinking about her. We just hope she can keep going.
“She’s got a bit of a swagger about her,” continued Snowden.
“She’s big. She’s strong. She’s 550kg.
‘She’s like a pussycat to ride. She is very gentle. She’s got a turn of foot.
“She works well … but she goes to another level on race-day, which is the best way to have them.
“They don’t knock themselves around too much at home. They save it for race-day.”
Plaintiff is the $1.90 race favourite for the James H B Carr Stakes. Jordan Childs will again be in the saddle.
