Form expert David Fowler’s takes on the challenge of finding winners at the Magic Millions meeting at the Gold Coast today. These are his views on the eight race card.

Race 1:

Like the prospects of GALLINARI (15) who has a good gate and Cassidy riding. Above-average and hits line well. ROYAL JESTER (5) set for this first up and also drawn well with top jock (D.Browne). NIGHT CHILLS (1) is an improver 2nd-up while DANHRO (2) has to be included on consistent interstate form. Rough chances 7,8,17

Race 2:

Keen on KINNERSLEY (1). Will lead or race handy and overall form better than most of these. NOISY OCEAN (9) going great guns this campaign and TAI TAI TESS (5) has good Victorian form but wide alley a downside. FANTASTIC BLUE (4) is a $51 chance but H.Bownman and one alley. Great bolters hope. Rough chances 2,8,13,14

Race 3:

Limited winning chances but MOSSE DIVA (7) rolls forward and has great form. CAPITAL COMMANDER (1) won this race last year and hasn't gone backwards in the past 12 months. BENETTA (14) is being tipped strongly but I fancy will be the under odds being a backmarker. Rough chances 5,6,9 and 10

Race 4:

Toughest race of the day. ROCKET TO GLORY (7) might ping to the rails first and 1000m suits with G.Colless, a jockey who rides the Coast well. Improving with every run. DOUBTFUL JACK (2) in new stable and prefers wet but can run well fresh here. LEEALAN (6) trained here and set for this while EAGLE FALLS (1) will be running on but under the odds for mine. Rough chances 3,4,5,11 and 12.

Race 5:

NO LOOKING BACK (10) is highly talented and gets the run of the race. Looked good first-up in open company Sydney win. SIZZLING (1) faces a huge task from gate 16 but too good too dismiss. Will be in finish. SALUTER (4) races on pace and is a real trier while HEZA JETSETTER (8) flew last start and will be hitting line hard. Rough chances 2,9,12,15

Race 6:

MISSY LONGSTOCKING (7) has had a perfect preparation and is drawn to get a gun run. Must be hard to beat. REAL SURREAL (11) peaking at right time and will be running past many of the tired ones. Definite danger. CLEVADUDE (3) might blow them away but the alley is a genuine concern. GREYTFILLY (13) is another local who will run on. Rough chances, 10,17

Race 7:

STEEL ZIP (5) is very competitive and just peaked in the Goldmarket after having a setback. Hot speed here suits him ideally. PHELAN READY (2) rarely wins but is "airborn" at the moment and will flash late. FAST CLIP (1) is an on-pacer and arguably the class runner. SONS OF GOD (12) is on a class rise but gets a perfect trip from the rails alley. Rough chances 3,6,11,13

Race 8:

I'M COOL (6) is the best bet of the day. Highly talented and the one alley is a big plus. Sydneysiders CARMINE KING (3) and WHISPEROSSA (8) will both run well while GDAY OLD MATE (1) is honest but has a big weight. Rough chances, 4,10,14

BEST EACHWAY: Gallinari
BEST ROUGHIE: Fantastic Blue

QUADRELLA: 1,4,8,10 / 3, 7, 11 / 1,2,5,11 / 6
