RACE 1:

FUNTANTES (3) maps well here, trailing speed, and with 3kg claim looks hard to beat. DELAGO BOLT (2) will settle last and come with a big finish. Distance right. ADEBISI (1) went ordinary at Grafton but could improve without surprising. Rough chance 5.

RACE 2:

No excuse for FLYING HOME (10) today. Down 5kg and good track and 2200m suits. FIFTH COLUMN (9) went super in Qld Cup but five weeks away from track is a little concern. AWESOME RANSOM (7) is an honest mare whose weight drop with claim will assist. Rough chances 1, 2, 4, 5 and 8.

RACE 3:

WIND WAND (6) is a progressive type (won 4 from 9) who runs well fresh and has a big finish. Fixed odds $7 looks appealing. VINTAGE MOSS (1) goes super this track and trip at peak and trialled nicely Tuesday. Will look winner in straight. STARSTREAMED (6) is racing honestly but had her chance last time. Rough chances 2, 3, 7 and 11.

RACE 4:

Race of depth. CANISBAY (3) won easily EF midweek then drew badly latest D'bn 2nd. Suited here with good gate. SEPT DE COUEURS (6) is also promising. Beaten by Canisbay then won easily weak S/Coast race. TERONADO (2) will give them a start but went well D'bn 1st-up and fitter now. Rough chances 1, 4, 5 and 11.

RACE 5:

MUKADDAMAH SON (2) is always competitive and goes well 2nd-up after big first-up D'bn 3rd. Fixed $5.5 means you can go each-way. KURTLEY (8) is a promising type (won 5 from 12) and has raced well EF previously. ROCK HOME LATE can improve today on dry track and likes EF. Value. Rough chances 4, 5 and 11.

RACE 6:

All the stars align for AVALADYLUCK (6) today. In-form, good gate and T. Bell booked. Bet with confidence. Save on DIVINE CITY (3) who was unsuited 1st-up but will go better today. Fair margin to DON'T GET ME RONG (11) who has handy Northern Rivers form. Rough chances 1, 2, 5 and 9.

RACE 7:

Open race. ELLAWISDOM (9) is a risk at barriers but blinkers off today might help. Possesses a strong finish. DANYME (12) has been freshened and has been racing well while GOTITALLWRONG (10) is very honest but a slight risk at 1500m. Rough chances 2, 6, 7, 14.

RACE 8:

Open race. ST ANDREWS (9) is lightly-raced but promising. Goes forward and with Colless up should get a good trip. SIR KNOX (12) is second-up 1200 to 1500m but is above-average. CASTING STONES (5) took rails runs to win EF 1400m midweek but room for further improvement. Rough chances 1, 2, 8, 16 and 17.
