FORM ASSESSED FOR A GOOD 3 WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF A SHOWER OR TWO.

Race 1:

Hard to split SHADOWSIDE (2) and STROAK (7) who have both trialled well and will corner the betting market. A slight preference for STROAK. Rough chances 3, 4 and 6.

Race 2:

TAIL AND ALL (1) should have won last start when badly held up in home straight. Rises 3kg but should travel in or near the lead. ARCTIC (4) doesn't win too often but small field assists and should be top 3. Stablemate ELUSIVE STORM (5) might roll forward and be some sort of chance. Rough chances 2, 3, and 7.

Race 3:

Taking a gamble here with FLYING JET (2). Didn't fire in the autumn/winter but had a brilliant spring campaign last year when won 1st-up. Impressive triallist at Doomben recently. GYPSY PEARL (6) ran well 1st-up D'bn midweek 1000m and fitter/better suited now. VIS A TERGO (3) won last 3 straight but harder now. Rough chances 1, 4 and 5.

Race 4:

VACALLO (5) has now had 2 runs back and latest EF 2nd 1400m was solid. Should box-seat here and be hard to beat. BLACK CASH (2) appreciated sting out of track 1st-up EF win and gets all the favours again from the inside alley. WHAT ABOUT ME (6) has been good in both runs since a spell but might be looking for further now. Rough chances 1, 4 and 7.

Race 5:

Very hard, almost a field job. MISS SUNSET (7) ran to line well latest EF 2nd 1400m so the 1600m looks right. BODEGA NEGRA (4) went in at the deep end at Rosehill last time out but better suited in local company. TORNADO MISS (3) keeps going well in this sort of company and rates again. Rough chances 1, 2, 5 and 6

Race 6:

SPECIAL MISS (8) is a lightly-raced but promising stayer. Ran to line well latest EF 2nd when pace didn't suit. Cahill booked now. Should be fool-proof each-way. VOLKHERE (1) battled away latest EF 6th but gave the impression was looking for the 2000m. OKANE (6) is a roughie who shouldn't be ignored. Won EF mile and won 1900m Canterbury. Rough chances 3, 4, 5 7 and 9.

Race 7:

VINTAGE MOSS (5) had the race "put on" for him at EF 2 weeks ago but genuine pace here should suit him again. Really firing at moment. MORNING CAPTAIN (3) is 1st-up but will run well fresh from rails gate. Easy GC trial Tuesday and ran some top races during winter. FACILE TIGRE (1) has class on his side as well. Rough chances 2, 4 and 8.

Race 8:

OAKFIELD COMMANDS (1) represents value. Comes here with good Sydney record and can race on pace or come off speed. Keen each-way. THE STOREMAN (5) will look the winner in the straight while QFIGHTER (8) is going well but may have some traffic problems from rails gate. Rough chances 2, 3, 4 and 6.

BEST BET: SPECIAL MISS.

BEST EACHWAY: OAKFIELD COMMANDS.

BEST ROUGHIE: OKANE.

QUADRELLA: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 / 1, 6, 8 / 1, 3, 5 / 1, 5, 6, 8.
