Form assessed for a good 3

Race 1:

Any one of the seven can win this but BOREHOLE (1) is the certain leader and beat several of these in quick time a fortnight ago. Can repeat with a similar weight. VOLKHERE (3) is an honest stayer and will be well ridden while SECRET GARDEN (6) was slightly unlucky in her latest 5th to Borehole when in traffic. Rough chances 2, 4,5 and 7.

Race 2:

RENEWED VITALITY (10) has turned in 3 good runs this time in and rolls forward here to get handy and will be hard to beat. Save on BLACK JET (5) who is lightly-raced and promising. Colless booking a plus. VENTURE ON (3) is honest but finding it hard to win. Rough chances 2, 8 and 11.

Race 3:

PLAYTIME (2) is an above-average mare who ran well 2nd-up 6th here a fortnight ago. Seems good value at $7 fixed. MERYANNA (4) is rock bottom price wise but is racing well and may try and lead all way. MISS LEIBERT (8) is honest and gets a good run. Rough chances 3, 7 and 9.

Race 4:

Open race. G’DAY OLD MATE (1) has generally raced well in better company and excels fresh. Will finish hard here and break his Doomben maiden status. TRAIL BOSS (2) is a value runner on his latest sound D’bn 4th. CUM DIVIDEND (8) comes from Victoria with good form and Munce booked from a good gate. Rough chances 4, 6, 9 and 11.

Race 5:

STRADON (6) finally ran to his ability in super 1200m win here a fortnight ago and today gets a perfect trip. Can win again. Obvious danger THE WHITE HOPE (2) who leads for a long way. TOP RADA (4) is in-form and well drawn. Won’t be disgraced. Rough chances 1, 7 and 13.

Race 6:

OAKLEIGH GIRL (5) is two from two and I expect her to lead all the way and make it a hat-rick. UNENCUMBERED (1) is a strong finishing Sydney 2yo and appeals as the main danger. ECHO GAL (8) has the wrong alley but was impressive in W.Farm debut win Rough chances 6 and 7.

Race 7:

Prepared to risk MISSY LONGSTOCKING at 1350m and the odds-on offer. ENQUARE (13) is an above-average filly who will appreciate this distance after winning at 1200m 3 weeks ago. GUNDY SPIRIT (9) was terrific in D’bn 3rd a fortnight ago and 1350m should be ideal on that performance. SPLENDORA (14) is a genuine winning chance from rails gate. Rough chances 1, 4, 5, 11, 12 and 15.

Race 8:

Open race. MORE THAN MONEY (19) was impressive 1st-up GC in good time and can measure up to this no metro win assignment. MASTERFUL PLAY (20) was an eye-catcher at M’bah 1st-up and G.Colless and good alley are bonuses. BIG DECISION (13) is well weighted and handy fresh with some city form on the board. Rough chances 2, 6, 9, 10, 12 and 14.

BEST BET: RENEWED VITALITY (Race 2).

BEST EACHWAY: PLAYTIME (Race 3).

BEST ROUGHIE: TRAIL BOSS (Race 4).

QUADRELLA: 2, 4, 6 / 1, 5, 8 / 9, 13, 14, 15 / 2, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20.
