Form assessed for a good 3.

RACE 1:

Like first starter MISHANI TROY (4). Sensible type who jumped fast and won trial well. Alley and claim are strong advantages. SARISARA (2) has race experience and ability with a second and a win. Deserved favourite. AIMEE (9) was green at only start then spelled but trialled well recently and winkers added. Rough chance. Outside chances 1 and 6.

RACE 2:

AGITATE (4) is a younger horse taking on older rivals but excels at the 1000m and trialled brilliantly at D'bn recently. Short enough at fixed odds, however. TRICKS OF TRADE (6) was a track and trip winner 2 runs ago and with a light weight looks the hardest to beat. WHO WILL (2) is handy short courser, rising in class on latest EF win. Rough chances 1, 3 and 5.

RACE 3:

NOISY OCEAN (2) comes off a strong GC win on MM day and drawn to get a great trail here. Won up to 2000m at Doomben. PLUMAGE (7) was impressive latest EF win but that was nearly five weeks ago and rises in class here. Seems under the odds in fixed price assessments. BANG ON (3) has now found form winning here two weeks ago and deserves respect again. Rough chances 1, 4 and 5.

RACE 4:

COMMANDARE (2) is a model of consistency and versatile, can lead or take a sit. Last start GC winner on MM day and top pick today. THE WHITE HOPE (6) will be ridden with cover but has been costly to punters recently. Maybe he has found his mark. PURE WHISPER (8) ran well first-up GC 2nd to Commandare so must be considered. Rough chances 4 and 7.

RACE 5:

DE DOZEN STARS (2) had no luck at this track and distance a fortnight ago and his overall form this campaign has been sound. Should be fool-proof each-way. BRIBIE (5) will hit line hard 2nd-up while EXCELLENATES (1) will either lead or be co-leader. Last bit a worry. Rough chances 3, 6, 8 and 9.

RACE 6:

Strong race. BINGO ROSE (8) was never a factor from a wide alley at 1350m a fortnight ago but gets a much better trip today and has been competitive at the mile. TRAKSTAR (7) has been unsuited by slow tempos past 2 runs yet still run well. Close to a win. CARMORA (6) is on a 7 day back-up and did a good job after being wide in that race. Likely leader now. Rough chances 1, 3, 4 and 13.

RACE 7:

Scanning CHOOSE A SAGA's form (2) you will see he has never run a bad race. Drawn to lead or box-seat and should be fool-proof each-way. ANYMORE (5) was impressive in the MM maiden and ran good time so hard to beat again. ROJO GRANDE (4) must be included on career-best track and trip win here 2 weeks ago. Rough chances 3 and 14.

RACE 8:

MISHANI PERSUADER (7) was ultra-impressive in winning here at 1200m 2 weeks ago. Even fitter now and extending to 1350m looks tailor-made. TYPHOON RED (3) was impressive in GC win and kept fresh for this. BUAKAW (13) was considered unlucky here 2 weeks ago and ridden cold will come with a good finish. Rough chances 4, 6 and 12.

BEST BET: MISHANI PERSUADER.

BEST EACHWAY; COMMANDARE.

BEST ROUGHIE: INDUBIOUS.

QUADRELLA: 1, 2, 5 / 1, 6, 7, 8 / 2, 3, 4, 5 / 3, 4, 6, 7, 12, 13.
