RACE 1:

SARISARA (2) is 1st-up since early Feb when she won 2 city races. Good tip from stable and trialled comfortably in T’ba recently. CANNIZZARO (5) was impressive in S/Coast trial since won that track. Good alley and Cahill booked. RUNAWAY ANGEL (10) went OK GC and suited by strong tempo. Rough chances 1, 3, 4, 8 and 11.

RACE 2:

LADY ECHELON (3) is ready to win 3rd run back after 2 solid performances. Right race for her. HEARTFELT QUEST (2) has been freshened, in-form, and obvious threat. KISS ME DEADLY (4) has jumped out of the ground and will take catching in front. Rough chances 1 and 5.

RACE 3:

THIRSTY FOR BLOOD (8) has a good each-way chance in an open race. Going OK and one alley and G.Colless booking are pluses. CASARATI (9) has been freshened and track and trip win 2 runs ago is a good form pointer. HARBOR SPRINGS (1) is a definite hope on past 2 city runs. Rough chances 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 11.

RACE 4:

DYSFUNCTION (7) earned a good rap after her latest win with 59kg and came off an unsuitable tempo. Can continue the good work in this slightly harder race. TAMBOS JEWEL (1) was dominant S/Coast 1400m win but 1500m at EF is a query. QUICK WITTED (6) is in form and will run well again. Rough chances 3, 4, 8, 9, 10 and 12.

RACE 5:

LA TIKKA ROSA (8) is a mare who likes 1000m and a good tempo. Found the right race and good fresh with a recent impressive barrier trial. OVERRIDE (8) is a fast Victorian and will take catching while BAHSA (5) is generally thereabouts. Rough chances 1, 3, 4, 5 7 and 9.

RACE 6:

HARADA BAY (7) hasn’t put a foot wrong this campaign. He is well weighted, well drawn and at his right distance. VANDALISED (6) comes from Central Qld with an impressive record but is poorly weighted. B.Stewart is a plus. BUAKAW (1) has won 3 of his past 3 city runs and unleashes a good finish. Rough chances 2, 4, 12 and 14.

RACE 7:

TINTO (15) is a smart filly with a big finish and G.Colless rides today. Hard to hold out. BEATNIKS (1) and FAIRYTALE BELLE (2) profile almost identically and will be suited 2nd-up at EF 1400m. SOME CALL HER WILD (14) has won 4 from 6 and looked good winning against these 1st-up. Go well again. Rough chances 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 16.

RACE 8:

EMERALD DUKE (6) is well-above average and, significantly, is good fresh. Well drawn with Colless aboard. ALDINI (8) is nicely weighted and has shown up in city previously. COMMANDARE (1) doesn’t know how to run a bad race. Rough chances 2, 3, 7, 11, 12 and 13.

BEST BET: SARISARA (Race 1)

BEST EACHWAY: TINTO (Race 7)

BEST ROUGHIE; OVERRIDE (Race 5)

QUADRELLA: 1, 5, 8, 12 / 1, 4, 6, 7 / 1, 2, 14, 15 / 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 13
