RACE 1:

EPIC (1) is more effective at 1400-1600m but he can gather these in. Good 1st-up 4th GC. STAR SAMMY (2) doesn’t know how to run a bad race and will look the winner in the straight. NICKY NOCKY (1) is an honest mare who enjoys a good run from barrier one. Rough chances 3 and 8.

RACE 2:

SMOKE HAZARD (6) beat AGITATE (1) fair and square at GC and gets the right run from barrier one to do the same today. ARCHITECT (2) is racing well week to week but has to give these a healthy start, coming back from 1350m to 1200m. Rough chances 3 and 4.

RACE 3:

There is a strong tip around for expensive and well-bred youngster BAYROCK (8) who is the likely leader in a race devoid of pace. Take catching. LIMEHILLS (2) AND RICH REWARD (10) both ran well last start and the step up to 1400m is one in the right direction. Rough chances 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 9.

RACE 4:

ESCOFFIER (3) is a last start GC winner and gets all the favours from the good gate. Very keen both totes. SPURS N SASHES (11) is in red hot form at GC and with a good gate will run well again. Certainly main danger. CAELLUM (9) is honest and gets a good trip. Rough chances 1, 4 and 8.

RACE 5:

Happy to back SEEKING MORE (8) on both totes. G.Boss and one alley are pluses and gets the perfect trip. Competitive racehorse. BENETTA (7) will find the line hard and blinkers on today is significant. Hard to knock CAPE KIDNAPPERS (2) who has the form on the board. Rough chances 1, 5, 6, 9 and 10.

RACE 6:

PRETTY PINS (4) was admirable in a fast run Brisbane Cup (4 seconds faster than Oaks). Back to 2200m suits and can’t miss the place. Back both totes. TINTO (3) has to be respected because she is a quality filly. Watch GARUD (5) wind up late. Rough chances 1, 2 and 7.

RACE 7:

Terrific race. COSMIC ENDEAVOUR (14) was dominant in the Dane Ripper and gets all the favours again today. ANGEL OF MERCY (7) is a great knockout chance. Freshened and will flash late. CATKINS (4) is a quality mare with a good alley. Rough chances 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 10 and 15.

RACE 8:

TRANSPORTER (3) was dominant at EF a fortnight ago, running fast time and winning clearly so why can’t he do it again from the rails alley. Keen on him. BELLE DE COUER (8) is an above-average filly who can provide the quinella result. QUEENSTOWN (6) will be on pace and deserves some consideration. Rough chances 1, 2 and 5.

BEST BET: TRANSPORTER.

BEST EACHWAY: ESCOFFIER.

BEST ROUGHIE: ANGEL OF MERCY.

QUADRELLA: 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 / 1, 3, 4, 5, 7 / 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 14 / 3, 6, 8.
