RACE 1:

ANNA LIZZIE (2) is a good mare and particularly effective when fresh. Big track, long straight suits her. Recent GC trial sound. LITTLE BROWN HORSE (3) keeps racing well and track surface is perfect for her. DISCREET (1) can be an improver third-up. Rough chances 5, 6, 9 and 10.

RACE 2:

With a depleted field, speedy AGITATE (1) gets back to the winner’s list today over the shorter 1000m. GOOD JOB BRO (2) sits midfield and will find the line well. ELIMINATOR (5) gets a good run and best suited at this trip. Rough chances 3, 7, and 8.
RACE 3:

Hard race. Above-average mare TIGER DIMEJAN (7) beat a weak lot easily last start but very attractively weighted here and quick tempo suits her. MR FAVULOUS (2) is a tough bush sprinter who will look the winner in the straight. DIAMOND TRAIL (8) is a good chance at odds. Finishes quickly. Rough chances 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 10.

RACE 4:

MISS COVER GIRL (3) is three from three. She has a shocking alley but her dynamic finish is too good to ignore. DIVINE SERVICE (2) will enjoy the run of the race but a slight risk at 1200m. VELOZ (4), suitably drawn and coming off a sound Ipswich 3rd. Rough chances 1, 5, 11 and 14.

RACE 5:

PALMERA LAD (6) is a brilliant finisher and the 1600m at S/Coast looks tailor-made. HOPFGARTEN (2) is above average, in form, and will be well ridden. PERFORMIA (16) is an underrated filly who will run well at odds. Rough chances 1, 4, 11, 12, 14 and 19.

RACE 6:

ALMA’S FURY (1) beat them comprehensively in the Eyeliner and with only half a kilo more in no harder a race, he should win again. PLAYITSTRAIGHT (10) ran 2nd in the Eyeliner and can provide the quinella result again. JETSET LAD (8) was creditable in the Eyeliner and gets a good run from the rails alley. Rough chances 2, 4, 9, 11 and 16.

RACE 7:

MR O'CEIRIN (1) was poorly ridden in the Brisbane Cup but will be much better handled today from the one alley with Colless riding. Trails BRAVE ALI (2) and has the last shot. IRONSTEIN (3) is down in the weights and stays well but hasn't won for a long time. Rough chances 4, 10, 11 and 12.

RACE 8:

TIME TO PLUNDER (2) will secure a good run here with Browne riding. Didnt' have a lot of luck at Ipswich. Do better now. REGULAR (1) will be on pace and competitive while CANZZYZING (11) is a smart 3yo and has weight relief on his older rivals. Rough chances 3, 4 and 6.

BEST BET: AGITATE (Race 2).

BEST EACHWAY: ALMA’S FURY (Race 6).

BEST ROUGHIE; DIAMOND TRAIL (Race 3).

QUADRELLA: 2, 6, 16 / 1, 10 / 1, 2, 3, 12 / 1, 2, 3, 11.
