Form assessed for a good 3.

RACE 1:

CLIQUES (3) disposed of a similar field at Doomben a fortnight ago and I see no reason why she won’t win again. REBEL DANCER (1) arrives in Brisbane with a good NSW record and will roll forward and race handy. BINGO ROSE (2) is honest but long time between wins. Rough chances 4, 5 and 6.

RACE 2:

ELMANTOSH (4) has to stand up today at first middle distance run. Has kept finding the line at the mile. GREY ASSIGNMENT (1) will run well from a good barrier and a 2kg weight drop. I thought HI SON (2) should have done more last start but can improve without surprising. Rough chances 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9.

RACE 3:

Whatever way you look at this race MR FAVULOUS (1) gets the gun trip from the rails alley and comes into the assignment as a runner-up at his past 4. Deserves a win. THE RINGMASTER (6) is above-average and goes well fresh. He’ll arrive late. MISS MEGA HERZ (7) is the leader who will give plenty of cheek. Rough chances 1, 4, 5 and 7.

RACE 4:

UPSTART PRIDE (6) was a big tip before his first start and he overcame a slow start and a chequered passage to win at this track and trip. Time was good as well and should win again, particularly with a clean getaway. CHOC MOUNTAIN (8) is quick and trialled well recently while A BIT WICKED (3) did well winning 1st-up at this track and trip. Rough chances 2, 4, 7 and 9.

RACE 5:

TAMBOS JEWEL (5) was dynamic winning 1st-up S/Coast at 1000m but is unbeaten 2nd-up. Just needs some luck from the alley to run over the top of these. MAURY (3) is honest and has to be top 3 while SIMPLY SMART (4) is also in form and is the possible leader. Rough chances 2 and 6.

RACE 6:

NOT TOO SURE (8) looked good winning first Qld start here at 1300m and no reason why he can’t run well again although a class rise is noted. CRACCO (3) is ultra-consistent and races on pace while FLAMBOYER (4) is the leader off the rails alley and D.Browne booking is a plus. Rough chances 1, 2, 5, 6, 10 and 15.

RACE 7:

FRETON (9) appeals to me each-way. Keeps running good races and the good draw should see him race a little closer. Generously priced fixed odds. EPIC (2) had every chance in his latest D’bn win. Up 3.5kg now but don’t dismiss. FERMENT (5) has struck form and should run well again. Rough chances 1, 4, 6 and 8.

RACE 8:

Open race. I’ve been happy with SURFACE TENSION’s (8) 2 runs this time in and note he has good 3rd-up record. Value each-way. FOREST WAY (1) has nothing going for him but has been racing well in stronger company. SOLITAIRE PRINCESS (9) commands respect on her latest D’bn 3rd. Rough chances 2, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14.

BEST BET: UPSTART PRIDE (Race 4).

BEST EACHWAY: FRETON (Race 7).

BEST ROUGHIE: SURFACE TENSION (Race 8).

QUADRELLA: 3, 4, 5, 11 / 3, 4, 8, 10, 15 / 2, 5, 8, 9 / 1, 2, 6, 8, 9, 12
