Form assessed for a dead to good track (perfect surface).

RACE 1:

Keen on DANSOLEI (11). Shaped well EF 1000m debut and trialled super since. Promising type. SAMBUCCA SHOT (3) will roll forward to front and impressive at S/Coast. Quinella pick. LIFE AT SEA (2) gets a good run and past 2 runs sound. Rough chances 1, 5, 6 and 8.

RACE 2:

Even lot but NOVIKOV (4) stayed impressively latest EF win and beat several of these. Struck form and can win again. HORA SEXTA (2) has first go at middle distance but going OK, finding line in mile races. LEONARDO EXPRESS (1) has been thereabouts lately. Rough chances 3, 5, 6 and 7.

RACE 3:

Keen on SHAPIN LADY (5) as appeals as the likely leader and did a good job 1st-up EF on heavy. BEACH BABE (3) is 1st-up and gets a good run from the rails gate, trialled well too. GALA AFFAIR (10) is 1st-up but promising type and can run well. Rough chances 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12.

RACE 4:

HARADA BAY (6) has an excellent turn of speed and sprinted brilliantly to win 1st-up track and trip 5 weeks ago. Can repeat. SALUTER (4) leads and takes catching while JETSET LAD (2) is worth of some consideration 1st-up. Rough chances 3 and 5.

RACE 5:

OUR BOY NICHOLAS (4) couldn’t have been more dominant in past 2 midweek wins and is a progressive type, having only 9th start today. Finally draws an alley which is a plus. TINTS (11) flies at Toowoomba but can give city folk a taste of her ability today. ALL TAKEN (5) has had ample chances this grade but leads and going OK. Rough chances 1, 2, 8, 10 and 12.

RACE 6:

Strong finisher PASQUINEL (2) appeals 3rd-up in a wide betting race. VAZ DE TORRES (7) improved sharply to win track and trip last start and QUICK WITTED (6) is consistent with rails draw. Rough chances 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 11 and 15.

RACE 7:

KINGDOMS (1) has been freshened and might be in a different grade to these. Remember his dynamic G3 win during carnival. FERMENT (4) is going well in these sort of races and can run well again. EPIC (3) is better than last run. Generally consistent. Rough chances 2, 6, 7 and 8.

RACE 8:

YOU DID WHAT (6) was very impressive latest EF 1200m win and with a weight drop and a good gate looks very hard to beat again. JUST A PERLA (3) is a go-forward horse and 1st-up but trialled well T’ba. STAR SAMMY (1) has been freshened and rails alley helps. Rough chances 2, 4, 11 and 13.

BEST BET: DANSOLEI (Race 1).

BEST EACHWAY: SHAPIN LADY (Race 3).

BEST ROUGHIE: ALL TAKEN (Race 5).

QUADRELLA: 4, 5, 11 / 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 10 / 1, 3, 4, 6, 8 / 1, 3, 6.
