RACE 1:

BEACH BABE (2) didn’t have much luck here 3 weeks ago but no traffic problems today with a strung out field likely. ESPIRITU (6) finished well D’bn 2nd a fortnight ago and should run well again. GREAT CHEER (5) is 1st-up but trialled OK and is good odds. Rough chances 1 and 7.

RACE 2:

ADORABUBBLE (2) is a one-out leader and in-form. Has a 3.5kg weight rise but I’m not letting that dull my confidence. GOTITALLWRONG (4) went well 1st-up and is generally consistent while MS BA BELLA (3) is better than her latest 6th here 3 weeks ago. Rough chances 1, 7 and 9.

RACE 3:

TRAKSTAR (4) is into his 5th run this campaign and I thought indicated he was looking for a middle distance with a dour 4th here last Saturday. HI SON (2) and VOLKHERE (3) quinelled a similar race here a fortnight ago and will run well again. Rough chances 1, 5 and 7.

RACE 4:

DREAM OF SLIPS (12) thrashed a midweek line-up, this track and trip, last start and with the good gate and 5kg weight drop will be hard to beat again. SPORTING PAGE (1) is 1st-up and smart and has won 8 from 14. Good quinella. FLIGHT IN SPACE (6) is a top 3 hope on NSW form (5 from 10) and rails gate. Rough chances 5 and 10.

RACE 5:

COMBATANT (4) had little luck 1st-up here a fortnight ago but with the rails draw he should secure a good run today and be hard to beat with no traffic problems. HEADWATER COUNTRY (1) has 59kg to lump but has the best form on the board. THIEF OF HEARTS (2) is 1st-up with a wide gate but deserves respect on debut 2nd during Winter Carnival. Rough chances 5, 14 and 15.

RACE 6:

JUST A PERLA (2) is nifty at this track and trip and should bounce to the lead today and take catching. Ran well 1st-up here 3 weeks ago. WRITTEN ABOVE ALL (6) is a last start track and trip winner and will run well again while GRAYSON SQUARE (7) is the other logical winning hope. Rough chances 1, 4, 11 and 12.

RACE 7:

ROCKET TO GLORY (2) is presented with a perfect opportunity here today to lead all the way 2nd-up. LIVING ON A PRAYER (4) keeps running good races and is the quinella tip. THEFT (8) has some hope. Rough chances 6, 9, 10 and 11.

RACE 8:

SEA RED (15) has always had a rap on her and looked good winning first-up S/Cooast. Light weight and good gate make her an appealing bet. ADENARIUS (6) will give cheek in front at odds. BINGO ROSE (1) delivered a career-best here 3 weeks ago track and trip but wide alley and big weight don’t help today. Rough chances 2, 3, 7, 9 and 13.

BEST BET: ROCKET TO GLORY (Race 7).

BEST EACHWAY: JUST A PERLA (Race 6).

BEST ROUGHIE: ADENARIUS (Race 8).

QUADRELLA: 1, 2, 4, 5, 14, 15 / 1, 2, 6, 7 / 2, 4, 11 / 1, 6, 9, 15.
