RACE 1:

First starter SAGA OF THE STORM (14) is with an in-form stable and has trialled promisingly for its first start today. Respect. MISHANI HONCHO (3) was good here last Saturday and the step up to 1200m suits. MISHANI DI CAPRIO (1) is worth some consideration. Rough chances 2 and 5.

RACE 2:

SHOTOVER RIVER (3) rolls forward here and comes off a solid 2nd track and trip last Saturday. METEROOLOGIST (6) was last to first weaker GC race but is a progressive type. KURRAJONG DRAGON (10) will be on pace and was solid track and trip 2 weeks ago. Rough chances 1 and 11.

RACE 3:

JUMBO PRINCE (1) is an above-average talent who easily won low key Ipswich race but proved himself latter end of the Winter Carnival. Strong finisher. WALK TO THE BAR (4) need some luck from the alley but D.Browne can handle that. SPUR LE JOUER (1) spaced them at Sunny Coast but this is harder. Rough chances 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14 and 15.

RACE 4:

WHISKEY ALLROUND (7) is going great guns this prep with a quick track and trip win here a month ago. Drawn to get all the favours. AGENT (1) has sound Sydney form and with a top stable but a 7yo now and rising sharply in weights. LITTLE LONG HORN (3) was sound 1st-up and can go well again. Rough chances 6 and 8.

RACE 5:

HIJACK HUSSY (1) proved herself top standard winning at Flemington during the Carnival and excels if it happens to be wet. Hard finisher. Stablemate TINA MELINA (4) is a last start track and trip winner who will get the favours from the rails gate. LUSH BELLE (5) won’t be far from TINA MELINA. Rough chances 3, 6, 7 and 8.

RACE 6:

Wide open, strong betting race. ALLKNIGHT SAINT (3) was good 1st-up at GC, fitter and drawn to get a good run. WILL’S CHOICE (8) has come back stronger this campaign and D.Browne and the 2 alley are pluses. HANDYMAN BOB (14) had no luck here a fortnight and is well worth another chance. Rough chances 2, 5, 6, 10, 11 and 13.

RACE 7:

Wide open. BIG MONEY (5) went too badly to be true at Flemington. Can bounce back on previous ultra-consistent form. TIME TO PLUNDER (9) is in career-best form and any rain would be welcome. ADEBISI (1) won this race 2 years ago and is generously priced. Chances don’t end there. Rough chances 4, 7, 8 and 10.

RACE 8:

SEEKING MORE (1) was well beaten by THE STOREMAN (3) here a fortnight ago but can turn the tables today. NATURAL DANCER (13) is low flying at the moment and maps to get a great run. Rough chances 8 and 10.

BEST BET: WHISKEY ALLROUND (Race 4).

BEST EACHWAY: ALLKNIGHT SAINT (Race 6).
