RACE 1:

AVALADYLUCK (6) goes well fresh, handles wet, D.Browne booked and suited to a strong tempo. Plenty to like about her. STAR SAMMY (2) gets all the favours and likes GC (won 3 from 4). Wet? TRAIL BOSS (1) is a wet tracker who has a chance at odds. Rough chances 3, 7, 8 and 9.

RACE 2:

AVALANCHES (8) is presently in good form, handles wet, and rolls forward. Griffin rides this track well. DARCI BE GOOD (1) continues to race honestly and will run well again. ALDINI (5) is locally trained, likes wet but a slight concern at 1800m. Rough chances 3, 4, 6 and 9.

RACE 3:

Wide open. MR JETSET (9) is very progressive and if he handles the wet track, he will just about win. Beat True Royal last start and he smashed them at S/Coast yesterday. DIAMOND FUND (8) won at her Queensland debut at S/Coast and gets a good run here. Placed heavy. FOREST WAY (1) can pull out a run fresh. Rough chances 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12 and 14.

RACE 4:

BREAKFAST IN BED (4) was good in the Just Now and this is easier. Proven slow or heavy. PLAYTIME (1) has run well past 2 city runs but BREAKFAST IN BED has the edge on her from their last meeting in the Just Now. ROYAL CONSORT (9) keeps running good races and generally good odds. Rough chances 3 and 7.

RACE 5:

WICKED INTENT (1) tries to remain unbeaten going to 1200m first time on a potentially wet track. I’ll watch at the $1.4 fixed. OLD TRIESTE (3) has turned in two sound runs at Flemington and Ballarat. I could entertain having something on him each-way. MISHANI HONCHO (2) will go better than last week. Rough chances 10 and 11.

RACE 6:

SOLDI DOMANI (2) was impressive in Gold Edition and maps to get a great trail again. Under-rated. HIJACK HUSSY (7) loves the wet and has a booming finish. Logical danger. TALES OF FASHION ran super in the Mode and leads here. Wet and 1300m?? Rough chances 1, 4, 10, 13 and 14.

RACE 7:

Wide open. DAPH N ALF (4) is generously priced and I’ll be backing him and saving on MISHANI WARRIOR (1) who has found form again. SIEGFRIED (11) is probably the most progressive horse. Rough chances 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9.

BEST BET: BREAKFAST IN BED (Race 4).

BEST EACHWAY: SOLDI DOMANI (Race 6).

BEST ROUGHIE: DAPH N ALF (Race 7).

QUADRELLA: 1, 4, 9 / 1, 2, 3 / 2, 7, 9 / 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11.
