STRADBROKE WEIGHTS RELEASED

The weights for the 2015 AAMI Stradbroke Handicap have been released by Racing Queensland.
The Doomben 10,000 winner Boban has been allocated the top weight of 58kg, while the Darren Weir-trained Lucky Hussler has been allocated 56kgs. The BTC Cup winner Hot Snitzel and Goodwood Handicap winner Flamberge, will carry 55.5kg and 55kg respectively.
There are horses who are weighted who will not compete in the $2 million race, such as River Lad (spelled after injury) and Our Boy Malachi (suspended after bleeding) while the connections of the Fred Best Classic winner Najoom (not originally nominated) could well still pay up to take a place in the final line-up.
With Doomben hosting this year’s event (away from the traditional Eagle Farm venue) the maximum field is sixteen.
