Form assessed for a good 4, but watch for late showers.

RACE 1:

KAYPERS (2) has been sound past 2 track and distance and doesn’t have to do much more to win this. CANNY BALLAD (1) arrives from Sydney with average numerical form but is better than that and can improve now. FLYING LUCKY (6) is an up and comer, going well easier provincial assignments. Rough chances 3, 4 and 7.

RACE 2:

NOTONYOURLIFE (5) profiles well here. Plenty of speed will suit her run on style and latest D’bn 6th over 1110m was pleasing. ALPEN ROSE (7) comes out of the same race and will also be suited by a solid tempo. SPEEDY SQUIB (3) arrives here with a handy NSW record and the rails alley is a plus. Rough chances 1, 2 and 4.

RACE 3:

BECKHAM (6) is a real up and comer who is my best bet of the day. Smart Sunshine Coast wins and maps to get every chance here. Stablemate CHARIOT OF GOLD (4) is the leader and is consistent while MARKSFIELD (7) deserves respect on his game 2nd track and trip last Saturday. Rough chances 3 and 8.

RACE 4:

MAX IT OUT (5) is twice a winner at this track and trip and was solid Ipswich 1350m win last start. Drawn to get all the favours. GALLINARI (9) has blinkers back on today and can run a race at odds while SISTER EMMA (1) has a bad gate and a big weight but this is somewhat easier than latest runs. Rough chances 10 and 11.

RACE 5:

Small field but still depth. HARADA BAY (1) gets his chance now with only six runners to round up. Strong at the end of 1350m last Saturday in a better field. Both HEART OF A WARRIOR (6) and L’ENTRECOTE (3) are in form and pose as legitimate dangers. Rough chances 2, 4 and 9.

RACE 6:

NOSTRADAMUS (3) is a smart 4yo and set for this 1st-up. Trialled well at Rosehill and drawn to secure the run of the race. THE STOREMAN (2) is the leader and back to 1110m is a plus. ARCHITECT (1) was impressive here 3 weeks ago and will be charging late again. Rough chances 7 and 8.

RACE 7:

MY GIRL HAYLEY (7) justified the wrap on her in debut Sunshine Coast win 24 days ago. Drawn to either lead or boxseat and this doesn’t look a hard race to win. I’M BELUCCI (13) was good at only start here in late January and can run well 1st-up. HOT SNIPPETY (6) draws well with a 2kg claim and is not without some hope. Rough chance 3.

RACE 8:

CONQUER (12) arrived from NSW with a smart record and looked good in a strong finishing Sunshine Coast win. Strong tempo here allows him to run home well again. MANA MANU (6) was solid here a fortnight ago and drawn to boxseat in this. AROUSED (1) has a good NSW record and will shorten in betting if rain arrives. Rough chances 5, 7, 9 and 11.

BEST BET: BECKHAM.

BEST EACHWAY: Nil.

BEST ROUGHIE: GALLINARI.

QUADRELLA: 1, 3, 6 / 1, 2, 3 / 7, 13 / 1, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12.
