BUFFERING - THE DUBAI DIARY - PART 2
By Robert Heathcote | Friday, March 18, 2016
Trainer Robert Heathcote’s on the spot reporting of Buffering’s previous international trip to Hong Kong gave the gelding’s supporters rare insight into the ‘behind the scenes’ activities involved in such an undertaking. Now, once again, as Buffering joins the world’s best in Dubai for the Dubai World Cup meeting, Heathcote will, workload permitting, provide HRO readers with exclusive details in a series of blogs entitled ‘Buffering - the Dubai Diary.’ This is Part 2.
Hello again guys,
Just another brief update on Buffering. He is well settled in now eating and drinking normally and seemingly back to 100%.
We ran a blood test this morning to check all is well, results back later this arvo but he looks an absolute treat and he is lovely and bright.
First morning working on the big Meydan track this morning and he took to it like a duck to water.
I am hoping he can have a stroll up the turf straight in the morning for a good look around.
Can you believe a grandstand that is 1.6 kilometres long s... so it’s quite a sight to see coming up the straight!
Its lovely weather, day mid 20s and mid-teens overnight.
A week to go and all is on track.
I see Peniaphobia arrived yesterday so more strength to the race for sure but Buffering still steady on the 2nd line at $6.50 so plenty of respect!
Cheers for now.
Rob
