WINNO'S WINNERS: HAWKESBURY, APRIL 30
By Darren Winningham | Friday, April 29, 2016
As this form assessment was made prior to raceday, please check final fields and track conditions for any changes on the day.
Racing is gone west this week to Hawkesbury. This meeting has a history of providing some rough results and normally some well-placed betting plunges on locally trained horses. If you are having a bet it may be wise to wait until just before they jump in case there are any market movers. Godolphin stabled horses normally perform well here as well.
Congratulations to Chris Waller and his team for notching up 200 winners on all tracks this season. I look forward to the Waller’s team invading Brisbane for the Winter Carnival.

Race 1
Atom Eve (5) is undefeated in three starts. Has not has a recent barrier trial but looks the one to beat. Noble Joey (1) looks like the quinella horse.
Selections: 5-1-3-6
*********************************************************************************************************
Race 2
Looks like a race in two. The imported Duca Valentinois (4) should be hardest to beat with Hipparchus (6) to fill second.
Selections: 4-6-3-2
********************************************************************************************************
Race 3
A tough two year old race. I am going with the in-form Bjorn Baker stable with Lubiton (8) from the Godolphin pair of Angharad (8) and Radcliffe (1).
Selections: 8-6-1-4
********************************************************************************************************
Race 4
Kuro (1) has won a recent barrier trial on the track and has a stable change, now with Joe Pride yard. Coolring was a great run in the Toowoomba Weetwood two weeks ago but is back in distance. Furnaces (7) put in a bad run first up and should be forgiven. Selections: 1-3-7-9
********************************************************************************************************
Race 5
Danish Twist (7) was impressive last start in the Provincial Championships at Randwick. Rock for the Ladies (3) could be the topical tip with the race being named “Ladies Day Cup”. These two should be the horses to beat in a tough race. ` Selections: 7-3-6-8
********************************************************************************************************
Race 6 2016 Godolphin Crown (Group 3)
Looks like the Peter and Paul Snowden stables may win this race with one of their two chances. Artistry (3) was a huge run in the Group 1 Queen of the Turf Stakes and is back in class here. Nancy (9) their other runner has been so honest in her three runs from a spell. It is a good quality race. I think there will be a length between six or seven of them at the winning post.
Selections: 3-9-6-11 - rough chances 1 & 13
*********************************************************************************************************
Race 7 Hawkesbury Gold Cup (Group 3)
I am tipping Strawberry Boy (5) and Kerrin McEvoy to lead all the way and prove too strong here. As for the placings you can take the field! I do like Beaten Up (4), Medcaut (11) and Mighty Lucky (2) as they all have exceptional second up form.
Selections: 5-4-11-2 - rough chance 8
********************************************************************************************************
Race 8 Hawkesbury Guineas (Group 3)
Handfast (2) is in great form. The dangers are No More Tears (3), who will come into the race more if the track is wet. Spill the Beans (1) and Lady Jivago (9) have been consistent in their recent runs. There has been a long priced move for Red Extension (6) being backed from $51 to $14 earlier in the week.
Selections: 2-3-1-9 - rough chance 6
********************************************************************************************************
Race 9
This is the toughest race of the day. I am going with Santa Rocks (16) to come down the straight and not the chimney in the last. I think the Godolphin owned horse, Careless (6) with the claim for apprentice Nick Heywood could be tough to run down if it gets left alone in front.
Selections 16-6-9-4 - rough chances to 5, 11 and 15
********************************************************************************************************
Quaddie (races 6,7,8,9) 3, 6, 9, 11 / 4, 5, 11 / 1, 2, 3. 9 / 4, 6, 9, 15, 16 - cost $240 for $1 Treble (races 7,8,9) 4, 5, 11 / 1, 2, 3. 9 / 4, 6, 9, 15, 16 - cost will be $60 for $1

The NSW Big 6 (races 4 to 9) 1, 3 / 3, 7 / 3, 9 / 5, 11 / 2, 3 / 4, 6, 9, 15, 16 - cost $180 for $1
