JIMMY ORMAN IS BACK ON SOLD FOR SONG

Trainer Kevin Kemp has announced a change in jockey for his promising three year old Sold For Song for her upcoming run in the Listed Daybreak Lover this weekend at Eagle Farm.
“Orman will go back on it after having three rides on it for two wins and a second,” Kemp said, adding that he thought Sold For Song “was just unlucky” in the Fred Best Classic (Group 3) at Doomben in her last start.
“Racing is like that. You have a bit of luck or you have none.”
“This weekend over 1400 I would imagine she will be midfield. If she draws okay I don’t think she will get back any further than midfield”.
“Jimmy knows her well and he will put her where she is happy”.
Jimmy Orman, speaking at the Kilcoy track on Sunday, said he was excited to be reunited with the filly.
“This week back at Eagle Farm and over 1400m in a listed race should suit the horse. It will probably get back a little back and be hitting the line strongly."
“I know the horse well. Kempy has got a plan mapped out and hopefully the horse will go onto to bigger and better things."
Sold For Song is a lightly raced filly by Collate out of the O’reilly mare Buena Chava.
She is already a Listed race winner, having been guided to that success by Orman in the Gold Edition Plate at Doomben 1200m in December in the last start of her first, three run preparation.
Sold For Song was then spelled for four months and resumed with two quality, eye-catching runs finishing second in both the Mick Dittman Plate (Listed) and the Gold Coast Guineas (Group 3).
At that stage she had yet to finish outside of the first two placings and was never further back than a length-and-half in five starts ... before her unplaced run in the Fred Best.
