Where does “Bubba” come from?
My grandma called me “Bubba” when I was born – it has stuck with me for the last 22 years.
What is your role in Racing?
Jockey. I finished my apprenticeship and have been a senior jockey since 20.12.16.
How long have you been riding?
Four years and three months.
When you were an apprentice, who is your master?
Pat Webster – at St George. I was also with Peter Moody at Flemington for twelve months.
What was your fondest memory working for Pat Webster?
Working with people and the crazy stuff we get up to.
What do you do when you cannot sleep?
That is very rare – I sleep well.
Jockeys start early in the morning what time do you get up to start work? 4.30am.
How do you prefer to be woken up in the morning?
Quick and fast – I hate a slow woke up.
Most memorable day in the saddle? Winning the 2016 Roma Cup.
Favourite horse you have ridden?
Lidari and Moment of Change ... country horse Beachcomber – for my boss.
What was the turning point in your career? Moving back from Melbourne to St George – it has been challenging.
What activity that you do not do now that you may consider doing when you are retired?
Plumber – I am a qualified plumber.
What is your favourite music? Anything really – I like a bit of everything.
What is your favourite musician? Keith Urban.
What is the most embarrassing song on your phone?
Free My Titties by Emmalyn.
What is your favourite gadget? My motorbike – a real big dirt bike.
What would you chose as your last meal? All you can eat Seafood buffet.
Name one person who you want to have dinner with?
Luke Nolen – he is very funny – everything is a joke.
Name one thing you could not live without? My phone and water.
What is your greatest fear? Petrified of snakes.
What other sports do you enjoy? I am a bull rider. 2012 I was juvenile bareback champion and I won the 2011 junior bull riding title.
What’s your favourite thing to do?
Hang out with Jimmy Orman – we have some great replica watches memories. We both have a tattoo on our lower right abdomen that signifies we are brothers for life.
NRL/AFL favourite team? NRL – South Sydney.
State of Origin time – NSW or QLD? Queensland Maroons.
Who do you talk on the phone the most to?
Zoe White, my girlfriend.
What are you grateful for everyday? Living.
What do you like to put on a sandwich?
Vegemite and cheese – Honey and cheese.
What toppings do you like on your pizza?
Chicken BBQ pizza – nothing else.
Who is you man crush? Michael Walker – NZ jockey – and Travis Pastrana – Nitro Circus Champion – first person to do a double backflip on a motorcycle - cheap michael kors handbags.
Tell us something that may surprise us about you I like cooking.
If you are down to your last $10 what would you spend it on?
Go to the pub and have a schooner of Canadian Club dry and a packet of chips - $10 does not get you much these days. buy some replica rolex watches.
