NICK KEAL BACK IN THE SADDLE

Nick Keal has received a medical clearance to resume riding after being sidelined with a broken right collar bone following a barrier trial mishap back in May 2018.
Sidelined for ten weeks he has struggled to watch horse racing from the sidelines.
He had a medical review with his surgeon on Thursday and resumed track work riding at his home track Clifford Park on Friday.
“The shoulder is feeling pretty good actually” he said. “I just need time to get my timing and rhythm back … and race day fitness,” Keal said.
“I am looking forward to coming back and getting back in that winner’s stall. I really would like to get my licence upgraded so that I can ride midweek metropolitan races – that is my motivation presently."
WINNO reminded him of his previous statement back in May when he suffered his injury – “at least I don’t have to get up early in the Winter.”
Keal laughed saying, “the boss knows I am cleared so he will expect me at the track at 4am – I will have to buy some warm clothes!.”
