The 2019 Queensland Oaks winner and 2018/19 Queensland Horse Of The Year Winning Ways has given birth to a filly after being served by the star stallion Kingman.
Winning Ways scored an upset win in the Group 1 Queensland Oaks at long odds in June 2019 for trainer Gary Newham and jockey Matthew McGillivray and went on to win one more time … taking her career record to eight wins and four places from only eighteen starts … before closing out her racing career.
In January 2020 it was reported that Winning Ways had been sold to Aquis Farm who immediately confirmed that the daughter of Declaration Of War was already overseas at Newmarket waiting to take up a Northern Hemisphere time booked service with Kingman, who stands for a fee of 150 000 pounds.
Kingman is one of two outstanding stars of the Juddmonte Farms stallion roster, standing second in line in terms of stud fees … that is second only to the mighty Frankel who stands at 175 000 pounds.
