THE WAIT IS OVER. KYLE WILSON-TAYLOR HAS RECEIVED HIS NEW LICENSE AND HE IS SIMPLY RARING TO GO

Apprentice Kyle Wilson-Taylor is now formally attached to the Lindsay Hatch stable bringing an end to a very frustrating three weeks for the young rider.
Wilson Taylor last rode on February 24 and, for the bulk of the time since then, he has been waiting for his apprentice license to be registered in Queensland.
Being an interstate move, his NSW apprentice license first had to be cancelled … he had been riding in Queensland on a visiting rider’s license … and then a host of formalities, involving a number of different official departments, had to be completed, verified and approved before he could ride again.
At last, with the invaluable help of Tracey Hatch, Wilson-Taylor has now received his new license.
To say he is raring to go would be an understatement … and, clearly, trainers have not forgotten the rich vein of form Wilson-Taylor was in prior to being sidelined.
Evidence of that is the fact that Wilson-Taylor has six rides on the seven-race card at the Sunshine Coast tomorrow night for a list of five different trainers which, apart from his own stable, includes multiple Premiership winning trainers Stuart Kendrick and Robert Heathcote.
Wilson-Taylor’s winning strike rate in his last fifty rides is twenty-two percent.
Whether Wilson-Taylor can pick up from where he left off … first-up … remains to be seen, but his career was flying before this enforced break and, on the basis of his hard work, focus and fast- developing ability, it can easily be suggested that it won’t be long before his career takes off again.
