IAMICAN TOPS MAGIC MILLIONS OCTOBER ON-LINE SALE

Iamican, a three-time winner for the David Vandyke stable, topped the Magic Millions Online Sale on October 7, with Bevan Smith going to $176 500 to secure the I Am Invincible mare.

The sound sales result vindicated one of David Vandyke’s core philosophies, a philosophy he explained in a Magic Millions press release.

“When I look at buying fillies I always look and talk to prospective buyers about residual value. When they are as well-bred and good looking as Iamican you can end up with a good result.”

“She’s one of the nicest fillies I’ve ever purchased at a sale,” said Vandyke. “She’s an outstanding type by a top stallion.

“I’m very optimistic she will make a good broodmare. I’ll certainly be looking at her foals when they’re offered up for sale.”
