TOP JOCKEYS CLEARED TO TRAVEL TO MELBOURNE
By Graham Potter | Thursday, October 14, 2021
The green light has given to five Sydney based jockeys to travel to Melbourne under a domestic border exemption pass which means that James McDonald will now be able to re-unite with Zaaki in the Cox Plate.
McDonald, Hugh Bowman, Glen Boss, Kerrin McEvoy and Rachel King have all been granted permission to travel to Melbourne. They will have to complete six days in quarantine in Melbourne and produce a negative Covid-19 test before they will be allowed onto a racecourse.
McDonald, Bowman and Boss are expected to leave for Melbourne as soon as is practical after Saturday’s Everest meeting at Randwick, while McEvoy and King are expected to follow a week later … heading for Derby Day and the Melbourne Cup day … after riding in The Invitation meeting in Sydney on October 23.
