KEEPING THE STABLE SCOREBOARD MOVING

After Bearnas’s win on October 19, The Michael Nolan stable was a bit unlucky not to add to its winning tally again before the end of October.
In the last five runs for the month of October the stable returned two second placings, two thirds and one fourth place.
The ever-consistent Hail To The Chief was responsible for two of those results finishing second at Gatton, in a Class 2 Plate over 1600m, and third at Toowoomba, in a BM60 Handicap over 1625m. That left the five-year-old son of Tycoon Ruler with a respectable race record of two wins and five minor placings from eight starts.
Rose Pin was the other runner to claim a runner-up finish. That came in a Maiden Handicap over 1625m at Toowoomba and it was the best result achieved to date by the lightly raced three-year-old.
Slinky’s Star put a third place on the board in a Two-year-Old Maiden Handicap over 900m at the Gold Coast in her debut outing, while Piccannini chimed in with a fourth place in a QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap over 1000m at Toowoomba.
No winners there, but these results did keep the stable scoreboard moving which is a very important positive for both the stable, as a business, and the owners, as investors.
