Golden Sixty created Hong Kong racing history in the HK$26 million G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Mile.
The marvellous son of Medaglia d’Oro defended his LONGINES Hong Kong Mile now winning the race in consecutive years.
In his toughest test to date he extended his wining sequence by capturing his 19th career win in Hong Kong - a local record.
The speed was on early and jockey Vincent Ho sat in behind the opposition before forging a gap between runners and putting the opposition to the sword.
Jockey Vincent Ho was emotional after the race saying, “He is amazing, I’m so grateful to be on him, I have no words for that - it’s amazing,”
The reigning Hong Kong Horse of the Year now having defeated all comers in Hong Kong probably needs to head overseas and be tested. Maybe a trip to Australia could be on the cards?
Or will connections continue his wonderful winning streak in Hong Kong and enjoy the thrill that this horse must give them each time he steps onto a racecourse.
