WAITING IN THE WINGS

Two Melissa Taylor trained runners are waiting in the wings … with the stable itching to get them back into action.

“Kudu had a nice jump-out on Tuesday,” said Taylor. “Dale (Smith) rode him and I was hoping to officially trail him next week but I think the weather has taken that option out of play.

“But he’s definitely back on the warpath now and we’ll find something suitable for him first-up.

“Mob Buster was due to come back into pre-training today, but the trucks are flooded in. They can’t get out. He’s up at Grandview having a nice spell and hopefully next week he will be back.

“The extra week out won’t do him any harm.”
