TREBLE FOR GUY AT DOOMBEN

Trainer Bryan Guy landed a treble at Doomben and went within a whisker of taking out half the card.
Guy first winner was the lightly raced three-year-old Stallone ($5.00), who was having his second run for the stable since transferring from trainer John O’Shea. Guy then made it race-to-race winners when Lucky Omens proved too strong for the short-priced favourite Tightrope.
Jockey Damian Browne did the honours in the saddle aboard Lucky Omens ($4.60) and the quality rider was again the pilot when Guy completed the treble with Truesdale ($6.00) in the second last race of the day.
The one that got away was Marqualo, who went down to Equates by a nose in the sixth race. The two runners flashed through the line together with the decision coming down in favour of the Ray Dart trained runner by the narrowest of margins.
Ironically, Marqualo was the shortest priced of the Guy runners. The six-year-old started favourite at $2.90.
