Six rides on Ipswich Cup Day (June 18) had set up a fruitful day for Mark Du Plessis.
Apart from that thrilling win on Princess Bojack, Du Plessis finished fourth in both the Eye Liner Stakes (aboard the Shaun Dwyer trained Last Chance) and the Gai Waterhouse Classic (aboard the Rex Lipp and Nick Hahn trained Tycoon Evie) as well as claiming a second place on Indiscreetly in the T L Cooney for trainer Danny Bougoure.
The Eye Liner and the Gai Waterhouse results represented a continuation of the good work Du Plessis is doing with the two horses involved.
In four rides on Last Chance, Du Plessis has landed back-to-back wins (at $18 and $21) as well as back-to-back placings in Listed company in the ATC Trophy at the Gold Coast and now the Gai Waterhouse while Du Plessis has also played a major part in the good fortune Tycoon Evie, who he has partnered in four of her five career victories.
