The Australian Turf Club (ATC) has confirmed that their advanced Weather Tracker information service will kick off this Saturday (August 20) at Randwick and the service will then cover all on-going meetings at Rosehill and Randwick (with immediate effect).
The service, as reported on Sky Racing, will be available via a mobile app as well as on the ATC website, broadcast platforms and on-course television, is designed to provide a host of weather-related information, wind speed … and direction readings, rainfall, humidity and air temperatures. These will be sourced from a variety of information gathering positions at different points on the racetrack.
Further, linked to this service will be a host of information related to the racing surface itself.
James Ross, the General Manager Racing and Wagering at the ATC, gave this overview of the service.
“The ATC Weather Tracker provides instant and accurate information to punters, owners and on course customers and ATC Members, as well as all across the racing industry at Sydney racecourses,’’ Mr Ross said.
“Punters can view, via detailed graphics, winds speeds, directions and weather conditions from every angle of our racecourses and as they change throughout a day.
Carlos Santo founder and CEO of tripleSdata said: “tripleSdata has been working for over two years to develop and deliver this industry-leading weather technology to Australian Turf Club racecourses for the benefit of punters and industry professionals.
