VAST KAMA - A CREDIT TO HIMSELF AND HIS STABLE
By Graham Potter | Saturday, October 1, 2022
Vast Kama continues to fly the Kropp stable flag in spirited fashion.
His third place in a BM75 Handicap over 1000m at Eagle Farm on October 1 epitomises both the care and commitment that goes into the horse as well as Vast Kama’s own willingness to take on any task given him.
While winning is the ultimate prize, success does come in various forms in racing and horses who consistently pay their way, given the odds against them, realistically would fall into that category … Vast Kama being a case in point.
The five-year-old son of Spirit Of Boom might only have won once in five starts so far this season, but he has also run a second, two thirds, and a fourth place while accumulating just under $40 000 over the last two months.
That's a fair return.
And Vast Kama has always been that game having finished in the first four in ten of his thirteen starts in the previous racing season.
Of course, there will be other horses … and maybe better examples of horses who almost always give their all … but Vast Kama can be proud of his own claim to fame.
Credit to the horse for putting in the performance and to trainer Matt Kropp for preparing him so well and placing him where he can always show to his best advanatge.
