WINNO'S WINNERS: EAGLE FARM, DECEMBER 17, 2022
By Darren Winningham | Friday, December 16, 2022
Eagle Farm this week where the track is rated ‘Good’ and the rail is out 3 metres for the entire circuit.
WINNO has been very busy in Hong Kong – hopefully you are enjoying the coverage – but I’m heading back to Brisbane as I write this and I hope to see you all at the track Saturday!
I did manage to tip both Quaddies and Trebles on the two feature days in Hong Kong – maybe I can continue in good form here.
It will be numbers only this week.
NB: As these selections were made prior to race-day, please check for any changes to track conditions and for any scratchings on the day.

First leg of the Treble. A race over 1400 metres.
Selections:
5 – Smart Meteor 4 – Vinco 9 – Rainbow Connection 2 – Holyfield Rough chance – (1) Emerald Kingdom
Race 8 GOLD EDITION (Listed)
I think the Tony Gollan pair have the race between them – Spiritualised (1) and the odds-on early market favourite Golden Boom (4).
I just think that Spiritualised (1) may just let them all go in front this week – Orman will bide his time and make his run late – proven at the track and distance where some of these are yet to be tested over 1200 metres. I think he will be strong to the line – was a super run first up – just faded due to his fitness after setting a blistering pace.
Golden Boom (4) is the stable mate – undefeated in two starts – cannot knock winning form – looks progressive – let’s see what happens on Saturday under pressure.
Do not overlook the Desleigh Forster trained Exo Lady (7) loves this track and distance – could be a huge upset at decent odds – Jim Byrne will ride.
Selections:
1 – Spiritualised 4 – Golden Boom 7 – Exo Lady 3 – Steady Ready Rough chances – (2) Johnny Rocker
Race 9
It is the last race!
Well, what do you know – Last Race Larry – looks like he has a genuine chance here – Larry Cassidy will ride Miss Hipstar (9) after a solid first up win at the Gold Coast when she was heavily supported. She looks well placed – but watch out for the Gollan Racing pair to bring him unstuck – if he wins, I am certain to cop a spray!
I will be backing the Gollan pair to beat him – there you go!
Cop that LARRY!
Selections:
9 – Miss Hipstar 8 – Strategic Position 3 – Mass Destruction 10 – Streaka Rough chance – (12) Lime Soda _______________________________________________________________________
Jockeys Challenge
There are many that have chances here. Jim Byrne, Ryan Maloney, Ben Thompson, and Jimmy Orman. I think that if they retain their current rides after scratchings, Jimmy Orman should get the job done.

WINNO V FLEMO
The battle continues this with WINNO and FLEMO. Not sure who won last Saturday as I could not access FLEMO’s tips from Hong Kong – I will give him the win as I am a nice bloke! Be sure to check the up to date and amended tips each Saturday morning on Facebook after any track changes and scratchings where I will post our selections and any late mail!
