THE BAN HAS BEEN LIFTED. ALLIGATOR BLOOD IS BACK IN BUSINESS IN NEW SOUTH WALES

Co-trainer Adrian bott has confirmed in a conversation with News Corp that the Waterhouse-Bott stable has been officially notified by Racing NSW stewards that the ban imposed on Alligator blood racing in New South Wales has been lifted.
This comes on the back of Alligator Blood’s tremendous run of performances in 2022, which included three Group 1 wins as well as eye-catching results in the Caulfield Stakes and the Cox Plate, amongst others, after Alligator Blood had been cleared to run by Racing Victoria stewards after previously being similarly banned from racing in that state.
At the time they were originally imposed, both bans hinged on concerns related to the one of the owners, Allan Endresz, and his then alleged undischarged bankrupt basis ... but that issue was resolved when Gerry Harvey bought into the ownership group, taking up the majority share in place of Endresz.
For now though, the schedule set for Alligator Blood before the reprieve will remain in place with Alligator Blood’s focus set on the $5 All-Star Mile which will take place at Moonee Valley on March 18 ... with his connections likely to use the Futurity Stakes as Alligator Blood’s first-up, lead-up prior to his facing the starter in the All-Star Mile.
Beyond that though, features races in Sydney ... such as All Aged Stakes, the Doncaster Mile, the Queen Elizabeth Stakes ... could all now flicker onto Alligator Blood’s big race radar, with every possible option now once again in play.
